Calendula: Is wonderful for calming & soothing redness/irritation. It has anti-inflammatory properties and is proven to help heal skin, improve cell turnover, and encourage collagen production.

Hibiscus: Almost too many great qualities to name! It's highly moisturizing, high in vitamin C which brightens skin, and is anti-inflammatory. It also is astringent which makes it ideal for tightening and toning skin (perfect for the under-eye roller)!

Black Seed: These seeds are high in fatty acids which help with skin hydration & elasticity. The compounds are anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial making this a fantastic option for acne-prone skin. 

Frankincense Resin & Essential Oil: Frankincense ends up in this recipe in 2 forms! The main beneficial ingredient is boswellic acid which helps reduce inflammation and promote healing. Frankincense also has astringent properties and can help regulate the production of sebum, one of the main causes of oiliness & clogged pores. It also has antimicrobial properties which can help prevent acne.

Soursop: Known to be a super food (these leaves also make a nutritional & delicious tea), soursop leaves are full of nutrients that when applied topically, helps reduce inflammation & heal skin. They are high in antimicrobial properties that help keep skin clean & acne-free.

Arrowroot Powder: Added to absorb any additional oil that is not absorbed into your skin.
